Proud Texan y Orgullusamente Del Valle

Josh Castro was born and raised in Del Valle and is a proud graduate of Del Valle schools.

Josh was raised by a hardworking single mother, with his grandparents living under the same roof. Three generations shared one home, looked after one another, and taught Josh lessons that have stayed with him throughout his life.

Growing up in a multigenerational home taught him some pretty simple values: work hard, respect people, keep your word, take care of your family, and show up for your community.

Del Valle helped raise Josh. He went through these schools and understands firsthand the role they play in giving young people an opportunity to build a better future. Now he wants to give back to the community that gave him his start.

Josh is running for Del Valle ISD School Board District 7 because he believes the district needs a new voice and a renewed focus on the people our schools are here to serve. His priorities are to put students, staff, and teachers first, provide a better education for every student, take care of taxpayer money, listen to the community, and bring Del Valle together.

For Josh, this campaign is about more than winning an election. It is about serving the community that raised him and helping make sure the next generation of Del Valle students has every opportunity to succeed.
